How do I amend my 2023 California state tax return to correct my carryover credit?

Some California TurboTax customers understated carryover amounts due to an error. 

If we notified you, we recommend you submit an amended state tax return as soon as possible.

To correct your return, please follow the steps below.

• Use TurboTax to amend your state tax return.  
  • Enter “TO CORRECT PASS-THROUGH ENTITY ELECTIVE TAX CREDIT CARRYOVER” as the reason for amending.
• Follow the instructions provided by TurboTax to efile the amended state tax return. 
• Save a copy of your amended state tax return for your records.
