(Note: If you haven't already filed a claim, please submit one first.)
Follow the steps below to upload the required documentation for us to investigate your Accuracy Guarantee claim. You must submit all pages of the first notice from the IRS or state taxing authority. You can also include additional information you feel will help us evaluate your claim. You don't need to send us your tax forms, including your 1040, W-2, or other documents. We'll ask you for them if we need them.
To upload all pages of the first notice from the IRS or taxing authority:
- Create a digital copy or take a picture of all pages of the notice
- Use the Browse your Device link below to select your file
- Enter your name and claim number in the Description section
- Enter the same email address you used to submit your claim in the Your Email Address section
- Select Upload to send us your file
- If you need to upload more documents, select Upload more and repeat previous steps
To upload your .tax data file:
- Follow the instructions in the email we sent you to locate and save your .tax file (We suggest saving the file to your desktop or My Documents for easy retrieval)
- Use the Browse your Device link below to select your file
- Enter your name and claim number in the Description section
- Enter the same email address you used to submit your claim in the Your Email Address section
- Select Upload to send us your file
- If you need to upload more documents, select Upload more and repeat previous steps
