I'm supposed to get $1824 and all I received was $1180 can you tell me why.

Was that your federal refund or state?  Or for both?  Federal and state come separately from different places at different times.

Aren't they supposed to let you know if thats the case they told me the exact amount i was getting back because of other money due and it was$1824.  They had already taken money out.

If your tax refund is lower than TurboTax quoted, it may be caused by a refund offset. This is when the government applies part or all of a taxpayer's refund towards the taxpayer's past-due income tax, child or spousal support, student loans, or state unemployment compensation debts.

we owe no past Fed income tax.  Why was only $1,401 deposited into our Turbo debit card.  We’re supposed to get $1,824.  Why the difference?   [removed] owed no back taxes.  Please send explanation to [email address removed].

Did you get only federal but not state yet?  Or vice versa?

Federal refund and state refunds do NOT come together. Federal and state tax returns are processed by two completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come first,
