Do I need to amend my return and also would it change the refund amount if 1099-B sales that were Box D (reported) were incorrectly entered as Box E (not reported)?

Only one of the eight sales was Box E. All the others were Box D.

No. If the numbers are the same, the IRS does not want you to amend. Only if it will change the refund or taxes due. Remember, the IRS receives the 1099B also. They will make the corrections on your return.
