Which form should I use? My situation is different this year. I no longer work, have Soc Sec only & 2 small pensions, standard deductions, 1 small retirement acct.

Which form should I use? My situation is different this year. I no longer work, have Soc Sec only & 2 small pensions, standard deductions, 1 small retirement acct.

Due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) that Congress signed into law on December 22, 2017, there are no longer any "short" or "long"  forms.  

Starting in 2018, everyone uses the same Form 1040, which also includes new Schedules 1 thru 6.
