To indicate a wash sale in TurboTax, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on Federal Taxes > Wages & Income
  2. Scroll down to the Investment Income section and click on the Start/Update box next to Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
  3. If you haven't entered any  sales yet, you will see the screen, Did you sell any investments in 2018? click on the Yes box.
  4. If you've already entered sales, click the Add More Sales box.
  5. On the next screen, mark the button I'll Type it in myself and click Continue.
  6. On the screen, Tell us bout your [XX] 1099-B, mark the button I'll enter one sale at a time.
  7. On the screen, Tell us about your 1099-B, Sale #X, enter the information about the sale and then click the blue box,  I'll enter additional info on my own.
  8. On the screen, Let's get the rest of the info from your 1099-B, enter the information in Box 1g - Wash sale loss disallowed.
