I'm a New York State nonresident and need a refund of NY state taxes paid this year. How do I enter this into TurboTax?

I'm not a resident of New York State for tax purposes (I live overseas) and meet the following requirements: (1)  the taxpayer did not maintain any permanent place of abode in NY state during the tax year (2) the taxpayer maintained a permanent place of bode outside NY state during the entire tax year and (3) the taxpayer spent 30 days or less in NY state during the tax year.

That said, I need a refund for the NY states taxes I paid this year - how do I make TurboTax recognize this? Should I enter that 0% of my W2 income should be included in New York State taxable income?

File a NY non-resident return, showing zero NY income, in order to receive a refund of the incorrectly withheld NY taxes. You might have to print and mail the return; states sometimes do not accept e-filed returns showing zero income.
