I’m listed as co-signer on my student loan and my mom is the borrower. The 1098E form is in her name, but I made the payments. Am I able to claim that as the co-signer?

I am not her dependent any longer, and nobody will be claiming me as a dependent. I am filing jointly with my wife.

Yes, if you are a co-signer and made the loan payments, you can claim the student loan interest deduction.
