How do I file using TurboTax in Alabama if I live in Tennessee? I have W-2 income in Tennessee and K-1 income in Alabama.

You would file as a nonresident when you file the Alabama return. All of the information you entered for the federal will flow to the Alabama return. Complete the Alabama (nonresident) return first. It may ask what income is from Alabama.

Then complete the Tennessee return as a resident. It will probably ask about the Alabama income.

This is how:

• Left menu select State
• Continue
• Add a state if Alabama isn't already listed
• When done with Alabama, complete Tennessee
