How do I upload documents to my Full Service tax expert?

After you've agreed to work with your TurboTax Live Full Service tax expert, we'll walk you through adding as many of your tax documents as possible. Once you’re done adding your docs, either an assistant or your expert will check them and confirm they have everything needed for your expert to start preparing your taxes.

Adding and removing digital documents on your checklist

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Select Checklist from the left menu.
  3. To add a document, select Add. To remove a document, select Delete from the more menu (...) next to the file you want to remove.

For physical or paper documents

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Either upload a scan or take a photo and upload, depending on whether you are using the web or mobile:
    • Online: Scan or take a photo of the document. Transfer the digital file or photo to your computer and then select Upload a file.
    • Mobile app: Select Add any doc and Snap a photo.

Tip: Make sure you're in a well-lit area, preferably against a dark background, and position your camera to take a photo of the entire document.
