Where do I enter my NYS Document Number? There is no field to enter this and it will not let me move on. We are not filing a NY return, my husband still has a NY license.

trying to file our joint return - we live in Texas and I have a Texas License and my husband has a NY license however I cannot move past the stage of entering my husband's license info because it says Document Number Required for New York ID and there is no field to input a Document Number. If i try to put this where the Driver's License Number is, I receive a new error stating that they field can only contain numbers, however the Document Number is alphanumeric.

That's a known bug

Supposedly it will be fixed by the end of this week..

Software Updates usually come out sometime on Thurs afternoon or evening..so go thru it again on Friday, 1 Feb.

Thank you, Steam Train! Also going through this and it was quite frustrating to get to the very end and not be able to file. Just called TurboTax and they said it's a known issue but did not say there would be a fix. Good to know they're working on it.

Has there actually been a fix to this? I am still having the same issue with my NYS DL document #.

Don't know yet...West coast staff are not in yet..

The fix could have been tougher than they thought....or other more urgent issues with  actual calculation errors could have pushed it back.

I called them and they told me to just hit skip and not enter the information (apparently it is optional). Doing this did not affect my return and it was approved without an issue.
