A question about the EIC

Hello, I am wondering if my girlfriend is eligible for the EIC for our son, even though I am already claiming him and as head of household. She was only able to work for 4 months of the year and made aprox. 7,000$.

When filing with turbotax it lets me add our son as a "Nondependent - for EIC/dependent care only". Is this accurate even if she and our son lived with me and I paid all of our expenses?

A question about the EIC

No.  If all of you live together then only one of you can claim your child.  If you are claiming him and filing as HOH, then your GF does not claim him at all.  She needs to file Single.
