Why did Turbotax charge me for a FL tax return when FL doesn't require a tax return?

That is, they charged me to prepare my FL tax return, but then when I look at the documents, there's nothing there (again, because FL doesn't require a submission, at least I don't think they do).

The Florida return in TurboTax is to report tangible personal property that is used in a Florida-located business or rental property and is filed with the county property appraiser by April 1st. If you do need to file a Form DR-405, nothing will print (except an instruction sheet) unless assets were transferred or you manually entered assets in the DR-405 worksheet.

If you use tangible personal property in connection with your business or rental (e.g., furnishings), then you may have to establish an account with the county property appraiser and then file a Form DR-405 to report that personal property. Regardless, you might want to contact your county property appraiser for further, definitive, information (see link below).

If you were charged incorrectly you need customer support. This is the public user forum.  No one here can access your account or authorize any sort of refund for you.  You can make your request with Customer Support.  Use the word ”billing” instead of the word “refund.”
