No. See the following excerpt from the TurboTax article on state extensions -

Alabama automatically grants a 6-month extension to October 15, 2018. You do not need to fill out an extension form.

However, if you owe additional Alabama taxes, you'll need to submit payment by April 17, 2018 to avoid penalties. You can print and mail Alabama Form 40V along with your check payment (you may need Adobe Acrobat reader to see Form 40V), or you can submit the form and make your payment online.
