Where do I enter (self-employed, online edition) estimated taxes paid in 2017?

I would appreciate a real answer from someone who has actually used the online SE 2018 edition - versus a copy/paste based on what works with a different edition.

How do I enter federal and state estimated taxes that I paid in 2017 for 2017?  Closest I'm seeing is taxes paid in 2017 for an extension, but that's not the same thing.

Very clear and specific instructions please.

To enter your 2017 estimated tax payments:

  1. Log onto TurboTax.
  2. Click on the blue Pick up where I left off button.
  3. On the left navigation bar, click on Federal.
  4. Click on the Deductions & Credits tab.
  5. You may need to click on All tax breaks.
  6. Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, click on Show more.
  7. At Estimated Tax Payments, click Start.
  8. Scroll down to enter your Federal estimated taxes for 2017 (Form 1040ES), click Start.
  9. Repeat this for State and Local estimated taxes for 2017.
  10. Continue with the onscreen interview until complete.

Where do I enter (self-employed, online edition) estimated taxes paid in 2017?

The online help is incorrect.  I've followed their instructions several times, and there is no provision for entering estimated taxes paid in the Home and Business edition.  I agree with the questioner: I would like to hear an answer from someone who has actually entered 2017 estimated taxes paid with the Home and Business edition.  Thanks to all!

Go to "Other Business Situations" under the Federal tab to enter your Federal and State estimated payments.

Where do I enter (self-employed, online edition) estimated taxes paid in 2017?

There is no "Other Business Situations"under the Federal tab in 2017 TurboTax Premier. There is an "Other Tax Situations" tab, but it has no place for entering the estimated tax payment I paid in Dec. 2017.

Please help!

Where do I enter (self-employed, online edition) estimated taxes paid in 2017?

Hi, I have TurboTax Premier. You can enter ES payments by going to the Federal tab. Select Deductions & Credits then scroll down the bottom of the page until you find "Other Business Situations." I think that's where I found Estimated Taxes. Sorry I can't be more specific, but it automatically appears in that section for me now since I've already entered my Estimated Tax amounts. Otherwise, try entering "Other Tax Situations" in the search tab at the top right of your screen and maybe you can jump to that section, so you can find Estimated Taxes? It look me a while to locate Estimated Taxes in TurboTax Premier. It's not intuitive at all!
