You are not trying to prepare your return using your pay stub, are you? That is a really bad idea. Why rush to file your 2017 return? Rushing to file your tax return is a recipe for a mess. You will NOT get your refund faster.
Wait for your W-2--the information on your pay stub will not match your W-2. Mess up by using incorrect amounts and you will need to amend--which will take you about 4 months. The IRS is not accepting returns until January 29.
Employers have until the end of January to provide your W-2. Wait until you have it.
