If the new tax laws come into place and we only need a postcard to file our taxes, why do I need Turbo Tax? I do not want to spend $70 for something I don't need?

I just updated my account.    However, if the new tax laws come into place and we only need a postcard to file our taxes, why do I need Turbo Tax?   I do not want to spend $70 for something I don't need.

Do you mean you are an Advantage member and want to cancel?  You may really be getting ahead of yourself by imagining that your 2017 tax return will be filed on a postcard, since Congress has not yet done anything to that effect.

You can't be serious. Postcard filing is just political BS. You'll be lucky if anything gets done.

There are still State and local income taxes. And there is no indication yet as to when any of the proposed Federal changes would be effective.
