I became a 2016 part-year resident of Idaho and made no income besides what's listed on my SSA-1099 (not taxable according to filing status). Do I do a return for Idaho?

Turbo tax mentioned I might not have to file a return for Idaho - and I don't see why I would need to if my SSA isn't taxable. I don't owe any ID state taxes and I am not getting a refund...

Idaho treats social security in the same way that the IRS treats social security income. Therefore, you will not need to file an ID return if social security is your only income.
