I have shares in a Corporation. This Corporation is closing down and distributed some of the funds left. Where do I deduct the original investment?

Where do I deduct the original investment in a corporation that gave me a distribution on my investment.

This is reported like a stock sale without a Form 1099-B, maintain all of the records to show the stock is now worthless.

1. Sign into your TurboTax account (online or desktop)

2. Use the search box in the upper right

3. Search for investment sales

4. Jump to investment sales (see attached image)

5. Make the selection "Stocks (except stock acquired via ESP)" (see image attached)

6. Continue to enter your transaction
