If my sons gparents were to claim him on their taxes could we lose our SNAP & Medicaid?

SNAP and Medicaid are needs-based benefits and you have to report any help or assistance in housing or living expenses. If your son is included in your household for the determination of your benefits, you have to report the assistance received from the grandparents if they claim your son as a dependent (because they would have to provide more than half of his support to claim him as a dependent).

SNAP and Medicaid are needs-based benefits and you have to report any help or assistance in housing or living expenses. If your son is included in your household for the determination of your benefits, you have to report the assistance received from the grandparents if they claim your son as a dependent (because they would have to provide more than half of his support to claim him as a dependent).
