Solved: On my w-2G form it mentions to "File with Form 1096".

On my w-2G form it mentions to "File with Form 1096".

Is that a form I need to fill out and send or is it something the company that sent me the W-2G sends in? TurboTax did not mention it as I was completing my return

The 1096 is the cover sheet the company uses that issued you the W-2G.

You do not need to fill out the 1096, you just need to report the W2-G on your tax return.

Is this an error? I completed an amended return for Tax Year 2021 using TurboTax online. I received a rejection but it mentions "open your *2023* amended tax return."
