Why can't I add/change my Business Name?

Customers, using TurboTax Desktop in Premier or below, are reporting that they are unable to add a business name when they use their home address for the business address. When the name is added during Review, they are then unable to edit the name.

Customers using Home & Business or TurboTax Online are not experiencing this issue.

We are aware of this experience and will be resolving this issue in a product update currently scheduled for 04/27/2017.

Workaround

  1. Click Forms in the top right corner
  2. Select Schedule C from the left hand column
  3. Enter Business Name in Box C
  4. Click Step-by-Step to continue your return
