My employer made an error on my W2, how do I resubmit my taxes?

My employer added something that wasn't supposed to go in "box 10." I have already filed my taxes, how do I go about fixing this error?

My employer made an error on my W2, how do I resubmit my taxes?

You need to get your employer to issue a corrected W-2 (W-2C) and then file an amended return. Make sure that you wait until you either receive the refund from your original return or until your payment is processed if you had a balance due. 

You have up to 3 years from the due date of the return to file an amended return. It must be printed out and mailed.
