If you are self-employed, you may deduct the cost of health insurance that covers you, your spouse and your dependents.

The deduction is reported when you enter information about business expenses in TurboTax, but it will show up on Line 29 of your 1040. If you bought the plan through Helathcare.gov, it doesn't matter who purchased the plan unless you were eligible to obtain health insurance through an employer. In that case, you may not be eligible for a premium tax credit.
