I live in Ohio and received royalties from West Virginia. How do I report the royalty income from West Virginia.

Using Delux TT and it led me to download West Virginia state software. I went through the steps but it's including my whole income to be taxed in WV when I only want to report the royalties from West Virginia.

You are a nonresident of West Virginia. Check to see if your residency is listed that way in TurboTax. (Click on the screenshot below for an image.) Also, check to see that you are listed as a resident of Ohio.

If residency is correctly reported and you are still getting an incorrect answer, you can edit the information on the tax forms by clicking on the Forms icon at the top of the page. This works only if you are using the desktop edition of TurboTax. If TurboTax won't allow you to edit the forms, delete the Schedule E and any related forms with the royalty info, log out of the program, log back in and re-enter the royalties.

Users of the Online edition of TurboTax can delete forms using the instructions below.
