Unexpected Error: “Intuit.Spc.Esd.WinClient.Api.GeneralException..."

In very rare circumstances some users may receive the following unexpected error when trying to update TurboTax 

“Intuit.Spc.Esd.WinClient.Api.GeneralException: The specified table does not exist.[Setting] ---> System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeException:Th specified table does not exist. [Settings]”



Work Around

  1.  Navigate to folder “C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Common\Update Service”
  2. Remove all files contained.
  3. Open Task manager and End the process for the Intuit Update Service.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Launch TurboTax to Update.
