You were misinformed.
The cost of commuting to and from work is a personal commuting expense and it is not deductible at all.

If you moved to go from one job to another job and the move was more than 50 miles, then you might be able to deduct moving expenses. You will find the detailed requirements for that in IRS Publication 521, at this link:

You were misinformed.

Thank you. I did move more than 50 miles and see that I am able to use it as a deduction but sitll do not understand how to file the 3903 or add it to my tax file.

You can type   moving expenses    into the search box, click Find, then click Jump to
You will not be able to file 3903 using the free version of Turbotax, you will have to upgrade as Turbotax offers you.
