Business State Purchase/ Download Looping

 Some TurboTax Business 2016 users may experience a looping error when attempting to purchase their state forms.

The behavior exhibited is after navigation through the purchase and payment of your state tax forms, the program will show that its updating and installing the state.

It will prompt you that the program is up to date however your state will not be listed in the State Taxes section of the program.

Work Around

If you are experiencing this issue, please update your program by going through the steps below:

  • Double check your program is up to date and your state forms are available here
  • With TurboTax open, please click on the Online menu at the top of the screen
  • Click “Check for updates”. 
  • TurboTax will search for updates. 
  • When it shows that there are updates available, please click on the “Update TurboTax 2016” button.
