My wife lived in Illinois until Oct. of 2016 then moved to Minnesota. She did not earn any income during that time in Illinois. Do we need to file an IL return?

My wife was a part year resident of IL but did not earn any income. All of my income was from Minnesota. Turbo tax wants us to mail in an IL return even though our taxes owed and tax return are both $0. Do we need to file for IL or can we disregard this?

No, if there is no income from Illinois, you don't have to file an IL return. You can delete the IL return, or simply disregard it and not file.
