I got a CP22A notice from the IRS
If you got a notice from the IRS, don’t worry. We’ll do our best to help you figure out what to do next.
The CP22A notice means that the IRS made the changes you requested to your tax return for the tax year specified on the notice—and you owe money on your taxes as a result.
You’ll need to:
- Carefully read your notice.
- Pay the amount owed by the due date or make payment arrangements if you can’t pay the full amount.
- Correct the copy of your return that you keep for your own records.
If you disagree with the changes made to your return, contact the IRS.
