What is TurboTax Self-Employed?

TurboTax Self-Employed is an online product (formerly TurboTax Home & Business online) that enables independent contractors, consultants, freelancers, and other self-employed taxpayers to file Schedule C for their business, along with a 1040 for their personal taxes. Farm owners can also use TurboTax Self-Employed to file Schedule F with their 1040.

We’ll ask you questions about your business, and you’ll enter your self-employment income, including 1099-MISC, 1099-K credit/debit payments, cash and checks; and your expenses. TurboTax Self-Employed helps you get every last deduction you’re entitled to.

In addition to the new name, your payment for TurboTax Self-Employed includes a complimentary 1-year subscription to QuickBooks Self-Employed to help you track your expenses and file quarterly taxes. You can then easily import these transactions into TurboTax at tax time.

Because TurboTax Self-Employed is online, it doesn’t need to be installed and works on web-enabled mobile devices for anytime, anywhere access.
