Why don’t I see my FAFSA Fact Sheet?

Once you've filed your tax return in TurboTax, you’re all set to download your return and get the FAFSA Fact Sheet.

Here’s how to get the Fact Sheet:

  1. Sign into your TurboTax account online
  2. Go to My TurboTax, then click My Tax Timeline
  3. Choose the current tax year
  4. Under Some Things You Can Do, select View tax data for FAFSA

Fact Sheets aren’t available for prior year returns, but you can access the tax returns you filed with us. If you filed for free, you’ll need to upgrade and pay to be able to see prior year returns. Remember, if you’re filling out the 2017–18 FAFSA form, your 2015 tax information is required, not 2016.

Also, if you’ve filed your taxes and they’ve been processed by the IRS, you may be able to import your info directly into FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. It’s part of FAFSA.ed.gov – not TurboTax.
