Letter from Alabama Department of Revenue to Certain TurboTax Customers

Certain TurboTax customers will receive a letter from the Alabama Department of Revenue informing them that they may need to amend their 2013, 2014, and/or 2015 Alabama return due to an error in TurboTax.

Customers who receive this letter will also receive a TurboTax email or a call from a TurboTax agent to help them determine if the error impacted their Alabama return. If so, we will help them prepare and file an amended Alabama return.

Our customers rely on TurboTax to deliver a complete and accurate tax return and nothing is more important than meeting this expectation. TurboTax is committed to continuously improving the quality and usability of our tax products. The identified errors have been fixed, and we are working with Alabama to take the necessary and appropriate steps to resolve this for taxpayers.

If Alabama assesses any penalties or interest as a result of this error, TurboTax will reimburse you directly per our Accuracy Guarantee.

Additionally, if for any reason you are not satisfied with TurboTax as a result of this issue, we will refund your purchase price.
