When efiling I get the message, "We're sorry, there is a problem processing your return. Please try transmitting again."

You may receive the message, "We're sorry, there is a problem processing your return. Please try transmitting again." if you do not have an email associated with your TurboTax account. 

Workaround

In order to enter your email and efile your return please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your TurboTax Account
  2. Select My Account > Account Settings
  3. Select Edit in Email Address field
  4. Enter your email address
  5. Select Save

Once the information has been entered and saved continue to file your return. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you. Thank you for using TurboTax.
