1099 Misc. Box #3 vs Box #7??

I believe that the wrong box checked for 1099 Misc. I am self employed. I received a total of eight 1099 Misc. All were checked box #7. One payer of significant amount accidentally checked box #3 when it's obvious that it should have been box #7. It is ok to move forward or should I ask for a corrected 1099 Misc. with the correct box checked?

Thanks!!!

Yes.  You can move forward and enter the amount in box 7.  The importance is that you recognize that it is self employment income and must be reported as such.  If you will do more work for this vendor/payer in the future you can let them know for next year.

1099 Misc. Box #3 vs Box #7??

Is the reverse true? If the 1099-MISC had box 7 filled, but the amount should have been listed under box 3 (the amount was grant money), is it okay to move forward and enter the amount in box 3?
