Problem with program updater, updater freezes

 Customers may experience an issue with the program not being able to update on their system.  

Solution

 Set TurboTax to run as an administrator:

  1. Right click on the TurboTax Desktop icon and click on "Properties"
  2. Click on the Compatibility tab.
  3. Check mark the box to "Run this program as an administrator"
  4. Click "Apply" then "OK"

Follow the link below to re-start into Selective Startup in Windows to allow the updater program to run properly.
