TurboTax Online: Blue Skull "Oops!" Screen When Trying To Save PDF

Some customers may see an "Oops!" screen when trying to download their current-year PDF, or a blank screen when trying to download their .tax file, from their timeline after filing.

Solution

This occurs when the return was filed with free, but then upgraded to a paid version after filing.

To access your PDF:

  1. Sign back into TurboTax Online by clicking Add a state on your Tax Timeline
  2. Click My Account at the top and then select Print Center
  3. Select Print, save or preview this year's return
  4. Continue through the interview to pay for the upgrade

To access your .Tax file (You will need the TurboTax Desktop software to open this file):

  1. Sign back into TurboTax Online by clicking Add a state on your Tax Timeline
  2. Click My Account at the top and select Tools
  3. Select Save your 2016 return to your computer
