"Form 8889-T: HDHP coverage check box needs to be checked" during Federal Review
Some customers who had an HSA, with a code W in box 12 of their W2, and no HDHP during the year will receive the following error during Federal Review:
Form 8889-T: HDHP coverage check box needs to be checked to indicate the type of coverage held under a high-deductible plan during 2016.
The IRS form 8889 doesn't have a "No coverage" selection box. You can select "Line 1, Self" to bypass the error, as this field will have no impact to your taxes.
