How do I track my North Carolina tax refund?
You can track your refund on the North Carolina Department of Revenue's Where's My Refund? page.
The average processing time for refunds is 6 weeks from the date they accepted or received the return.
If it has been more than 12 weeks since the NCDOR accepted (received) your return and you still don't have a refund, they ask that you call them toll-free on 1-877-252-3052.
Statement from North Carolina Department of revenue: the North Carolina Department of Revenue offers a text message notification service for updates on individual income returns. When you register for the service, you will receive a text message when a return is filed with your Social Security Number and when your refund in mailed or direct deposited.
