Why would I use Forms Mode?
If you need to override an entry on a tax form – for example, to work around a calculation issue – then you'll need to go into Forms Mode.
Forms Mode also comes in handy if you want to see how TurboTax filled out a form or schedule, or if you need to troubleshoot a calculation that doesn't seem right.
Most of our customers will never need Forms Mode, which is exclusively available in the TurboTax CD/Download software.
That said, for our tax-savvy customers who like to see what's going on "under the hood" – not to mention our support staff – Forms Mode is a very useful tool indeed.
Tip: It's OK to switch to Forms Mode if you want to look at a form or two, but constantly switching back and forth between Forms Mode and the interview has been known to cause problems and data corruption.
