What is the FAFSA?
It stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It’s the form that college students (and usually their parents) fill out to see what kind of financial aid they can get.
Despite its name, FAFSA also covers hundreds of state- and school-aid programs in addition to federal programs like Pell grants and federal student loans. For more info, visit the official FAFSA website fafsa.ed.gov.
If you filed your taxes with us, you can get a FAFSA Fact Sheet with the tax info you’ll need to fill out your application.
