Are military haircuts deductible?

  • Are you donating them?  If you are buying them for your job, it's whatever you paid for them.
Haircuts for military personnel are Not tax deductible. and are considered normal grooming by IRS. For what tax benefits do apply to military, see http://www.irs.gov/publications/p3/index.html

    After a little research, I see how even if a haircut were to be categorized as a “uniform requirement” even for non-military, Publication 529 covers that the item must “not suitable for everyday use”.
