How does it work?
When you choose SmartLook™, we'll connect you with a TurboTax specialist. You’ll see your specialist on your screen via one-way video, but they won't see you. They'll just see your TurboTax screen, and they'll draw on it to guide you and get you the answers you need.
To get SmartLook™ in TurboTax Free Edition, do one of the following :
- Select Live Tax Advice in the upper-right corner and follow the instructions to upgrade to TurboTax Live Basic and connect with SmartLookTM .
- Go to Upgrade in the left menu, select Get PLUS Benefits, and then select the Help icon in the upper-right corner to open the TurboTax Assistant. Type in Talk to a specialist and continue through the prompts to get connected.
To get SmartLook™ when you're in Deluxe, Premier or Self-Employed:
- Select the Help icon in the upper-right corner.
- Type in Talk to a specialist and continue through the prompts to get connected.
- If you're using the Android mobile app, select Get live help and enter your question.
- If the information provided isn't helpful, select No, I still need live help.
- Select Connect me to connect via SmartLookTM and a TurboTax specialist will connect to your screen and guide you.
To get SmartLook™ when you're in a TurboTax Live product:
Select Expert Help in the upper-right corner and follow the onscreen instructions to connect with SmartLookTM .
