Why are taxes $ 8,930 this year vs 4,342 last year with same sa;es $36,000?

Can someone help me or should I file an extension.  Taxes due 3/15.
there has to be a mistake.  Gross receipts are the same for both years but taxes this year are nearly double.

Your tax return is not required to be filed until 4/18/17. Look at your 2015 and 2016 tax returns side by side and line by line to see what changed. You may find a mistake or discover the reason for the difference.
