Your Federal Return has changed. Select the File tab and Revisit Your Options

So, I wanted to change my Federal refund from applying to next year to just a refund.

Under Other Tax Situations, "Apply refund to next year," choosing "Apply all or part of it towards next year's tax bill" made no difference. It kept the Amount applied to next year as my entire refund. Apparently a bug.

So I went to form view and unchecked it.

Now it keeps saying so go the File tab and revisit your options. Which there is no options related to this situation. Printing, saving, opening, etc are not viable options.

What do I do, start all over again?

Try closing TurboTax, clearing your cache and deleting your cookies. Review the TurboTax Help article How to clear your cache and How do I delete cookies? for specific instructions for your browser. Also, reboot your computer.

If that doesn't work, reply back.

I am using the desktop version. But I did close it and cleared the browser cache anyway.

No change. When it reviews for errors it still says to the Select the file tab.

Decided to just start over. I recommend everyone save often and copy the files to another folder frequently as a backup.
