I had to file form 8379 for my 2016 taxes. I was approved and received my refund. Will this come up again for tax year 2017..

This was the first time my new husband and I filed jointly. He had student loans he thought were paid off. He is retired and my income is greater than his.

Yes, you must file Form 8379 for each year you meet the Injured Spouse condition, and want your portion of any offset refunded
