How do i know the tax paid to the other jurisdiction so i can enter i.t on line b of the schedule A form and receive credit from the state i live in?

You will need to calculate the Nonresident state return first.  After it is complete, preview the state tax return summary in TurboTax. 

1. If you are using TurboTax online, choose Tax Tools from within the Nonresident state return, then Tools and under Other Helpful Links, View Tax Summary.  Make a note of the Total tax and return to your resident state interview to enter the figure.
2. If you are using TurboTax desktop, you can view the Nonresident return in Forms mode.  Make a note of the Total Tax and return to your resident state interview to enter the figure.
