Anyone seen this message?
2024 TurboTax online edition gives me this warning repeatedly. It shows two 1099-INTs side by side that are "supposedly" duplicates, but they are not. Some times even the institutions issuing the 1099-INTs are different. Each time I add another 1099-INT (even manually), I have go through several of these messages, each time choosing the "Keep Both Forms" option. I called in to Turbotax support. The first level support couldn't figure it out, so it was escalated. That person couldn't figure it out either, even after I went through several rounds of "delete all 1099s and start agin". I even cleared my entire return and started over, but no dice.
The TurboTax support person ultimately told me that there is no resolution for this and it looks like a "one-off" issue and "they would no longer work on it". I find it hard to believe that I am the only one that ran into this problem. His suggestion was for me to buy the desktop version, and hope this error does not occur with that product.
So much for the "customer obsession" value that the Intuit CEO touts!!
