Parents claim nonqualifying child for other tax benefit?

I'm not a qualifying child because I provide more than half support to myself. When my parents do their return on Turbotax, it is saying that even they can not claim me as dependent, they still can claim me for EIC and other tax benefit. I wanna make sure this is ok. In this case, when I fill my own tax return, can I answer that I can't be claimed by someone on their tax return?

I'm 23 but I fail the support test (I provided more than half support).
I'm just wondering if that's ok for turbotax to include my information on my parents' return to claim EIC.

Yes. It is OK for turbotax to include your information on your parents' return to claim EIC.

Yes that is correct. There's an obscure rule that if a person coulda been claimed as a Qualifying Child (QC) except for the fact that he paid for more than half his own support, his parents can still claim the EIC based on him being a QC.

I 'm sure what "other tax benefit" they would be getting.
