I got the email saying sorry funds won’t be released until 3/3 at the very least.. I don’t understand my filing fees were completed 5 day early fee not processed.. I always get my refund by 2/14 every year I don’t understand what why how the **bleep** anything this year is going to be done

You misunderstood the 5 day early offer.

I PAID $25 FOR A 5 day early refund

 TurboTax has NO control over the amount of time it can take the IRS to process your tax return and issue your refund.   TT gives you an estimated refund date based only on a 21 day average, which is not a promise from TT or the IRS.

Has the IRS accepted your e-file?  

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Has the IRS processed your tax return and provided an issue date for the refund on the IRS refund site?   If so, count backwards on your calendar for those five days and hope for the best..

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

 Are you subject to the PATH act which means if you are getting earned income credit or additional child tax credit they are required to hold your refund until February 15?

If you are subject to PATH, do not expect your refund before early March.  Be very pleasantly surprised it it comes sooner.

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account.   If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.

Oh no I must be an idiot for not paying attention to the repeat bs reposted by everyone all over the internet.. yes I understand that I’ve been accepted for going on my 3rd week I’m pretty sure I’ve been part of the path act since it became official still haven’t dealt with the bs like this year.. yes I understand TT is on bs too which is an absolute first for me this year.. my tax code is 05 no I don’t have a 846 code my processing date is the 17th looking back at past returns it’s about the same time frame if not processed by 2/28.. I was wondering if anyone else had the same email issued to them about the email of my funds which was just a thank you note for my filing fees being completed nothings updated anyone else on the same bs as me?
